Overview
This past summer, I had the opportunity to work as a Product Design Intern at JPMorganChase & Co. for the Design & Strategy Team, where I was able to create a simplified family management experience for Chase parents. My project focused specifically on the Youth & Family Segment, where I created an entirely new product by combing separate experiences into one. I was lucky to be able to collaborate with countless senior designers, researchers and product stakeholders for 10 weeks! Additionally, I was able to collaborate closely with two other designers, Yuki and Airla, who I learned a ton from this summer!
My impact
Due to NDA, I'm unable to share specific aspects to our project, but I can share a high-level overview of what I accomplished in my 10 weeks there. I was able to interview Chase parents, conduct a thorough competitive analysis, communicate with product stakeholders, and even visit a Chase Branch!
Learnings and takeaways
Think "Blue Sky"
In much of my work prior to this internship, I worked with a lot of technical and visual constraints. For this project, we were told to think beyond the limits of what we think traditional Chase designs should look like, and it really pushed me to think outside of the box in terms of what our final product could look like.
Adapting Quick to Sudden Changes
Working at a company with many regulations, I had to learn how to think quick on my feet and pivot directions. Staying flexible was important to being able to finish our project on time
Finding My Voice
During my time at Chase, I struggled a lot with feeling like I was contributing meaningfully to our team. Over time though, I adapted by seeking feedback and realized that even small inputs added value, which helped me build confidence and engage more fully with my team.

I truly would not have learned anything without the help of my team this summer. I am so eternally grateful that I got to learn and grow with such talented designers! Special thank you to Yuki and Airla, for spending the entire 10 weeks growing alongside me, and Raun, our design manager that pushed us to be the best designers that we can be!
